The NORES Task Force met yesterday and have decided to not remove square footage. The 3 pronged strategy is to seek help from the OREC to add a disclaimer to the Sellers Disclosure and seek a legislative solution as quickly as possible by adding an amendment to an existing bill. In the meantime, square footage will still be provided. I would highly suggest that appraisal sources by used instead of courthouse records if possible. Often sellers will be able to get a copy of the builders plan or an appraisal. The risk is still very real so this is a scary situation.
